A couple of weeks ago, we released the first part of our how-to series to assess iOS performance by implementing Facebook’s open source code for Media Mix Modeling: Robyn. In the first episode of this series, we took you through the setup of Robyn using a walkthrough video.

Today, we’re releasing the second episode of the series where we walk you through the process of running a code on Robyn. In the Youtube video that is linked to this episode, you can follow along as our Senior Mobile Marketing Manager Virendra Shekhawat explains how to set up the code. In this episode, we’ll describe the key components of the code – to visually follow along and actually run the code check out the Youtube video.

We look at the input data, and how it needs to include dependent variables like revenue or conversions, and independent ones like spends, installs or impressions, as also variables like newsletter blasts, external events or others. We look at how we factor in holidays that might impact our performance. 

We look at how we can set the hyperparameters, which are the top-level parameters that control the rate of learning or iterations of the models we run. We also look at adstock, which is an indicator of how long the effect of the advertising lasts over time.

This episode lets you familiarize yourself with the process of running code on Robyn. You can follow along the video walkthrough in Youtube and try this out for yourself. .

In the next episode of the series, we will analyze the results obtained from running the demo code and setting up the mode, so stay tuned for that.
